Big Hero 6 is Big Fun!

Big Hero 6 (2014) is Big Fun!

The Main Characters of Big Hero 6
Everyone needs someone, right? Absolutely! Or at least this is what Don Hall and Chris Williams' Big Hero 6 from Disney tells it's audiences in a fun, family friendly and very entertaining way. If you want to know more about what the movie is about, here is a link to a brief film synopsis of the movie.

SPOILERS BELOW!

Ok, so what do I think of the film? Well, I give it a solid 4.5 out of 5 stars!

The movie is a near perfect score for me as it hit me in the feels, kept me on the edge of my seat, and it made me laugh throughout the film. Baymax, the cuddly and sweet medical-aid robot turned superhero is the true star of the show as his innocence and charm are hard to reject.
Hiro and his Aunt Cass Mourning
The film begins by sucking audiences into an
emotional pond of sadness ðŸ˜¢as we're blindsided

by the death of Hiro's brother in what appears
to be an accidental fire at a science fair. The death
of a character in such a startling and real way is new
territory for Disney films and I love the maturity and
growth that the film company is showcasing here. We
are immediately drawn in to feeling sorry for Hiro and
have no choice but to cheer for him for the remainder of
the film.

However, the film quickly shifts attention towards Hiro
and Baymax starting on a quest for the truth when the
accidental fire doesn't appear to be so... accidental. We
grow with Hiro's relationship to Baymax and warm to
Hiro's brother's friends who quickly become friends of
Hiro's and of our own. Together as a team, they have a
mix of quirkyness, humour, intelligence and intimidation
that makes for an awesome squad of people destined to be
superheroes using... Science! No magic here, Disney does
well to make this story feel rooted in reality.

The voice acting and digital effects are both top-notch. T.J.
Miller's voice acting of the hilarious character Fred is funny
for both kids and adults alike, and Maya Rudolph's voice of
The Voice Actors/Actresses
Aunt Cass brings that hearty, compassionate motherly voice
that audiences know all-too-well in Disney films.

Finishing with a surprise and a twist of the villain actually being
Professor Callaghan, who is set up quite nicely as a good guy
and who seemingly died in the same fire as Hiro's brother, is
the cherry on top of this story that constantly catches audiences
off guard and smashes their expectations of traditional Disney
films. It truly is an excellent animated film!
